I saw the VViDiD "Best Damn Knife Ever Made" recommended in another thread a little while ago (not the first one in the picture, but the one that's basically the same as the Wuta knife below that one). It went on deep discount for the recent Amazon Prime Day, so I picked one up. It just didn't click with me. I couldn't be bothered to take the time to tighten the lock down tightly; I really prefer knives that just click into place. The main thing I didn't like though was that the little button that advances the blade was sunk far too deep in the slot for my liking; not enough of the button was sticking above the knife housing, so I found it difficult to press and slide. I'm returning it. For a 30 degree blade knife, I prefer the NT Cutter ABS Grip A-553P that I went into detail about in a different comment. I do own a knife that has a similar "tighten blade at any point" mechanism like these two, but mine is by Olfa and has a bigger blade. https://www.amazon.com/Olfa-Craft-Kife-size-34B/dp/B000TGF9DI When I'm cutting leather though, I almost always reach for my Olfa 18mm No-Slip Grip Utility Knife. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000GIO2TG I put the Olfa black blades in there, because they're sharper than any others I've ever tried.

For the price, quality and ergonomics you can't do better that Olfa IMO... https://www.amazon.com/Olfa-Craft-Kife-size-34B/dp/B000TGF9DI https://www.amazon.com/OLFA-Cushion-Grip-Art-Knife/dp/B0006O87TQ https://www.amazon.com/5003-Ratchet-Lock-Heavy-Duty-Utility-Knife/dp/B0006SJAR0 ..those are all tried and true, and yes, plenty more expensive things to cut with, but why try to reinvent the wheel!? Also, it's so easy to touch up any "disposable" blade with a sharpening stone, get on and learn to use it. Olfa steel is well known for their quality too. Get a large rotary cutter for thin stretchy leather...
