I bought this set a few years ago and love it: Cuisinart Chef's Classic Not sure why people are saying buying full sets is a waste. These are the only pots and pans I have, and I use every single one.

That set should do fine and cook fine for the price. Another similar brand is Cuisineart. Impact bonded won't stand up to heat abuse. Don't put it in a 500F oven or leave it empty on a hot burner. Who does that? You may not need all of those pieces. You can buy Cuisineart by the piece as you need it. I like this Cusineart set better with the steamer pot insert. It also costs slightly less. https://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-77-11G-Stainless-11-Piece-Cookware/dp/B005H05SXM/ref=sr_1_1 There is no need to buy very expensive SS cookware like Allclad or Madein unless you want a status symbol. Something to consider: Restaurants don't use expensive SS cookware. They use cheap forged aluminum. They're cooking, not admiring themselves in the reflection.
