“Display” is just the term used like “booster box.” It’s a box of 12 decks. I have no affiliation with these links but here are products I’ve bought on Amazon: https://a.co/d/0alfsVNv - the picture is only one deck but the title explicitly says “deck display.” I’ve been sent one deck before and I returned it. You should get a full box of 12 decks. https://a.co/d/0ds2NGek - the two player starter set I was talking about. None of these decks will likely be bangers. But they have simple designed cards and are cheap!

First: I started playing in the last couple years, so I do not have a lot of experience with the early sets. Hands down, the best bang for your buck is AoA. I think you can get a 12 deck display for $12 right now.. Most of these decks will be middling and about the same power range. Here’s a list of all the sets. CotA through Mass Mutation were all made by Fantasy Fight Games and are about the same power. MM introduced the card enhancement which, to me, is a fundamental aspect of KeyForge today. The two highly powered sets are Grim Reminders and Prophetic Visions. All that said, I don’t know exactly what your vision is, but I would just buy whatever display is at a good price, and play within the sets. Once you open them all up you can get a feel for what decks play well with others. Last note: Decks of KeyForge is a great source for deck ratings to get an idea of power level. It’s not an exact science, but may help as you try to figure out which decks to play against each other.
