not an expert - just a couple of comments. From your comments, obviously the pan is not pure titanium - which is non-magnetic and will not work on an induction stove unless it has a magnetic core. Also I doubt it would be pure titanium anyway just from a cost / production standpoint..The link is a youtube video comparing some titanium pans from known manufacturers.All of them are various thicknesses of titanium coating, not just pure titanium.Kind of interesting video anyway though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUMAAhxBeyM 2. the internet tells me dark grey on a lead test is likely negative or faulty test, rather than a positive. 3. FYI, there are also test drops available to test stainless steel for other heavy metals like manganese.I don't know if they work on a titanium coating but since they are testing for they heavy metals I'm guessing they would.
