My son never needed his bottles warmed so I didn't need to worry about a thermos or warmer. I put water in his bottles and used these pre measured formula containers to add in the formula.
I flew with my formula fed six month old across country. I bought a formula travel thing that has little compartments for pre measuring. The one I found had a funnel like nozzle to pour out of (the little compartments stacked and you just swapped the top to the next compartment when you used one). Then I premeasured water in like two or three bottles, depending on need. Worked great. Packed extra bottle inserts (we used the Boon Nursh bottles that had like an exoskeleton and a silicone center) and nipples so we could make more bottles if we needed. You CAN bring water for babies past the TSA. They will swab/check the bag but it's not a problem. This is the type of formula dispenser. Worked amazingly, no mess, no wasted formula.Formula Dispenser
