From what I know, chicken tawook uses lemon and shawarma uses vinegar. But of course your house, your rules 😄. Here is my ratio: For each lb of chicken, make this much marinade for Shawarma: 1/4 cup yogurt 1 TBSP olive oil 3 garlic cloves 1.5 TBSP shawarma seasoning 1 TBSP Harissa or other chili paste (hot or mild) White vinegar Tawook marinade (per lb of chicken): 1/4 cup yogurt 1 TBSP oil 3 garlic cloves 1.5 TBSP tawook seasoning 1 TBSP tomato paste Lemon juice & zest
