Get a nice soft throw blanket or large bath towel. Wrap your cat firmly but gently and only expose one paw or foot at a time. Speak softly, calmly and confidently while you’re working. I carry on a conversation with my cat… “I know you don’t like this but we have to do it. I’m not hurting you, you know. You’re exaggerating. After we’re done we’ll have treats!” Etc. Sometimes talking helps keep YOU relaxed. And you only can do as good a job as the tools you’re working with. I really like this type.
