We have ours inside this enclosure: https://a.co/d/0g3q2App And we put this in on the window end of the exhaust vent: https://a.co/d/0gB1wCy3 I will say I tore the stupid vent tube included with the enclosure when trying to fit it over the 3" end of the converter in the window kit because the stupid converter is 3" across on the INSIDE of it, not the outside (wtf?), but I managed to find a replacement in-store at Lowe's that does fit both the converter at the window end and attach well to the enclosure at the other end as well: https://www.lowes.com/pd/IMPERIAL-3-in-x-96-in-Foil-Flexible-Duct/4566290
