Most go for the sunny manual treadmill but any sloped manual treadmill will do as long as it has a rotating flywheel!
Most users go for more traditional sloped manual treadmills. You can get these on amazon/walmart/etc new for $150-$200, however my favorite is to find them cheap on local marketplaces. People regularly find them im the $75-$100 range on facebook. The most popular model to use is called the “Sunny Manual Treadmill”. Many of the curved treadmills are larger and range in the $700+.
I just put mine together and am having the same problems.Amazon.com : AKLUER Non-Electric Treadmill with Dual Flywheel - Fixed Incline, Soft Foam Grips, Non-Slip Belt, LCD Monitor, Compact Foldable for Home/Gym Use : Sports & Outdoors After using the entire bottle of lube and some from another silicone bottle, I've ended up with 2 choices: Jog comfortably (not quite naturally, but fine) at the lowest incline but walking requires an immersion/ankle-breaking lean-and-stomp; or... Walk comfortably at the highest incline, but any attempt at speed ends in the track and my body slipping down too quickly without use of the handrails. And the middle incline level does both poorly. I can't see myself safely using this w/headset on. Not without a harness hanging from the ceiling so I dont end up cracking my skull. Did anyone have better luck making belt adjustments or trying the incredible-amounts-of-lube method?
