Get a PM2 monitor. Like others have said, it’s less “smell” and more the micro particles in the air. I have one of these connected to an air purifier (same brand, super easy app) near all of my guy’s cages, and I have it set to blast clean at the smallest amount of anything in the air. Obviously smoke, TEFLON, candles… it’s interesting to me the things that rise the number on the monitor but it’s not always something you will be able to smell.
