#1 Pull the seats and use an upholstery cleaner. You might even want to mix up a bottle of teaspoon of Biz Laundry Booster in a 32oz spray bottle of tapwater hot water and use that as a pretreat and then use Pet and Odor upholstery cleaner in the machine. #2 Repeat on the carpet in the entire car, sans seats. Keep changing the water out and redoing it until the water comes out clean. Use an extention cord and a box fan to dry it out quickly afterwards. #3 Buy an car HVAC cleaner that you spray in the car's cabin intake with the blower on high, then in the vents with recirculation...just follow the directions on a product like this. Highly recommend this product... https://a.co/d/0h7mDJFq #4 Buy a new cabin air filter that is multi-stage and includes activated carbon. But don't install it until you've done everything else and it's completely dry.
Good to know it doesn't have to be foam! I thought it did. The BG stuff is like $40 - will this work instead you think? https://a.co/d/04QTwk6h
There are products that disinfect and clean your entire vent system by being sprayed directly into the cabin air intake from outside (before the air filter) and then - as a separate procedure - into each vent opening [*]. The instructions will tell you in which phase the cabin recirculation should be on, etc. So make sure you read them twice. [*] - don't forget the floor vents under your car seats Edit: don't forget to wipe up any splatter that gets spit out of your vents if you didn't manage to squirt it far enough back in the duct. I don't know if the product you buy will leave watermarks on leather or vinyl but some do, so it's better to play it safe with splatter marks. Edit 2: example product that I've used https://a.co/d/0cDinYI8
