Hi this happened to me too and I adopted 3 bc they were siblings and I didn't wanna break up the family. 🤣 Just when I had gotten my office how i wanted it I ended up turning it into my "rat zoo" for the hamsters. If you have access to FB marketplace you may find a cheap 75 gallon tank on there. I found mine for $50, $75 and $80. You'll need a mesh lid, I bought this one (Large). Paper Bedding works great, you're going to need a lot of it. A lot more than you think lmao I had to go back to the store twice for more. XD I used this from Walmart, but it seems Petsmart is also reasonably priced if you're buying in large sizes. A big wheel is a must. I got this one (XL) bc I couldn't resist how pretty it was, but this one would suffice and is quite a bit cheaper. A multichamber hide would help him not feel so exposed; all 3 of mine love theirs (6 room large). A sandbath is easy enough to make, I got this one from Petsmart. Do additional research on enrichment and nutrition. I've switched my kids from Walmart brand to some better balanced stuff thru Chewy, not a huge price to pay for the increased nutritional density.
