As far as actual toilets go, the bleach tablets in the tank might reduce the life of the innards. The blue stuff probably won't, though some blue tabs leave gritty sediment which will sit on the bottom of the tank forever. The Kaboom toilet cleaner works great though. It feeds bromine directly into the bowl, not into the tank, and you refill it with commodity spa tablets.
