I would love to be you 🥹 If you don't mind, what would you recommend for complex woody scents? I'm having a specific flavor of trouble where I think I am generally best complemented by smokier & stone-fruit or balsalm-forward scents; for example, I'm currently using Lawn Ranger for my summer deodorant that smells like fresh sap and cut grass; coffee or whiskey cherry scented body wash, and almond oil base with almond extract & ginger essential oil added in, for skin and hair. On me, these become dark and layered. It's been a pain to find these kinds of scents across cologne and perfume. A lot of scents have a certain saponinc "clean" or "floral" character that don't sit well on me, but I often get asked if I'm wearing something expensive if I wear something with a heavier, darker character. I've tried asking different storefronts and establishments; they usually know what I'm talking about after going through a few & their notes, but often say they actually don't carry something like that even appreciating what I'm aiming for and are sure it exists. It's getting to the point where I'm tempted to homeblend my own with fine liquors, liquid smoke, and essential oils. 😒 I need something with a dark, smouldering kind of character or it doesn't sit well on my skin.
