Ones that are suck and will probably not fit you and not only cause unnecessary additional pain but also could compromise your surgery success. ASK ME HOW I KNOW? I’m 6wks po. I was placed in the wrong size (size large), was told it’s one size fits all and sent home. Not only was it too big it was positioned improperly downward causing significant tension on my repair. We fought me being sent home in it bc it didn’t feel or loook right, we fought my dr office the day after surgery to get properly fitted-this took a week. 7 days of significant pain and an urgent care visit until we could get an apt with the orthopedic fitter who was completely freaked out by how I was positioned and how they sent me home (urgent care too but they didn’t have a brace for my size). It’s all about arm bone length. I’m a 5 foot 125lb female who fits children’s size l and xl or adult xs . Luckily being good at self advocating really helped. The brace will shift stretch as ur wearing it 24/7 so you need to know proper positioning. I’m 100% better than I was before surgery pain wise and getting :feeling better every day.
