I really want hygrometers that are bluetooth, I’m trying to get them all on my smart app so that I can get them to trigger different things, alas I’m flat broke right now though! If your RH is above 65 ish or below 35ish that will definitely in and of itself cause breathing difficulties, when mine reaches 70% my nose becomes blocked as though I have a cold. You could get a TVOC meter to tell you if there’s any nasty compounds in the air, but if you do they’ll likely come with a built in Co2 meter. Disregard the Co2 reading on the TVOC device, it’s an approximation that is pretty unreliable. Accurate Co2 meters use NDIR. You can just open the window and the co2 will go down, faster if you point a fan at the edge of the window from about a meter away, but the effects of co2 build up are usually more cognitive like headaches, brain fog, “careless” mistakes etc. If you try to buy a co2 meter, the cheapest ones won’t be NDIR, so try and get the cheapest one you can that is definitely NDIR. Mine’s this one which is about £24 Good luck!
