An optical to usb c is probably the worst option out of all of the available options you have. If the guy you are replying to is correct then a straight coax to coax cable is what you want. Meaning the audio signal source would be on the usb c end and it sends it to the optical output. You are doing the opposite so I think what you are proposing isn’t even possible. Just stick with a straight coax or optical cable or get a new streamer if you are want to use that usbc port on the mimir.
