Decisions are, but the publishers are not just in Texas. There’s a book by James Loewen called “Lies My Teacher Told Me: Everything Your American History Textbook Got Wrong”. It is very eye-opening if you grew up in the US public school system. The author details how textbooks are dumbed down and real historical facts are thrown out so the textbooks will sell in Alabama or Texas.
