I have a spindle that specifically lives in the car. I've a spindle w a permanent disk (rather than a removable whorl), and I got lucky at a thrift store in funding a leather two-bottle carrying bag that needed love. It works very well for carrying/protecting that spindle plus whatever is being spun on it and a support spinning bowl. It holds a lot, I love that thing. I prefer heavier, longer spindles bc I prefer heavier yarn! Longer spindle means getting more spin per session before needing to unload onto a bobbin for plying!
