Someone quick get this link to the daughter before “downtime” is sentenced forever. Your feelings were hurt bc she didn’t want to turn her camera on/see your face? Ok. That’s fair. Then you realize that’s a you problem. Tuck it away and deal with it privately. Like an adult.

NTA, he is and you're torturing yourself. I'll be a broken record because I think it may help, where did you learn that your boundaries don't matter and people can use you? probably like me, from your parents, but there is hope, https://www.amazon.com/Adult-Children-Emotionally-Immature-Parents/dp/1626251703/ref=sr_1_1

I would strongly recommend reading this book called Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents: How to Heal from Distant, Rejecting, or Self-Involved Parents by Lindsay C. Gibson. As a guy who is the product of two extremely emotionally immature parents, it helped me process some of the anger I have towards them and it has very good advice on how to communicate and interact with said parents. You probably will not ever have the type of emotional connection or healthy communication with your mom based off of what you said, but you can at least understand her lack of maturity and how to minimize its impact on you. https://www.amazon.com/Adult-Children-Emotionally-Immature-Parents/dp/1626251703
