This reminded me of one additional thing you can try after a bath. Clean the dogs ears using proper ear cleaning swabs. Don't use a regular q-tip. Q-tips are too short and not absorbent enough. I included a link below to ear swabs that look (and act!) like tampons on a stick. Get the swab well into the ear canal and give it a few twists.
