You need air movement when the air outside is cool. I paid about $100 USD for a giant fan like this. This model is no longer a good price but there are similar ones. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077BVSKLC I open a window on the second floor, and put the fan in that window, on the EXHAUST setting. Then I open a window or two on the bottom floor as far away from the fan window as possible. Then, late at night when the air outside is cool, I turn the fan on full speed. It pulls cold air into the house and sends how air outside. In the morning, BEFORE it gets hot out again, I close ALL WINDOWS.
