Like other people said, dollar tree plants are an awesome idea for clutter. I'd recommend fake plants from a craft store if you're willing to spend up to $20 for something, I got a handful of them when I first got my BP and they've lasted over half a year now. You can make hides for the snake by cutting out a hole in a plastic box or such, there's probably DIY videos on Youtube or such. If you wanna go cheap for the thermometer/hydrometer, I highly recommend these. I have a 50 watt one that reaches the right temperatures for my other snake's 40 gallon. You can also just purchase new bulbs if one blows out, so if you get a heat lamp you will theoretically be able to use it in the future if you ever get your own reptile. Also, this won't really matter because you have a glass terrarium, but I'd recommend learning how to DIY set up features for animal enclosures of any kind if you have pets. I've been struggling to get a job, so I've been making do with giving my ball python entertainment by installing stuff to hang in his cage on my own. Overall, don't feel bad if you can't do everything people recommend you. You're a kid, and you're in a situation you probably thought you would be easier than said so. Your heart is in the right place, and I think that's all that matters if it's not your own pet.
