I put some of this between my heels and my shoes when I buy a new pair. It creates enough of a cushion that it allows the shoes to gently stretch out as I break them in, and it provides really great protection for my skin. I will occasionally have to tuck it back in if I’ve been walking around, and maybe there’s a darker option you can try that will be less noticeable. But once I do that for a couple days, I’m good to go and can wear the shoes as a normal person lol I have also tried: moleskin, regular bandaids, hydrocolloid heel-specific bandaids, adhesive cushion thingies, tall socks, thick socks, slippery thin socks, anti-chafe cream. This is the only thing that works for me. It’s cheap enough that I think it’s worth a shot for anyone who deals with this habitually. You only need about an inch or two, and it’s reusable (although the wool will felt after some time, which lessens the cushioning properties) so a package can last a very long time.
