They make cable reels that you can pull a cable out of, have it "stall" with the cable extended (so you can use your controller), then you pull on the cable, and the reel/wheel pulls the cable back in. You could screw or bolt it on somewhere mostly out-of-view and see if that could work. Or just let it lay out. EDIT: I would examine any solution carefully so you don't spend money on the wrong item. Considering the prices of items that could work, I might just convert something that was made for another similarly sized cord type. Even feeding the cord though an eyehook or ring screwed into the underside of the desk might solve most of the issue.
