I had awful sciatica that started around the same time as well. I finally got it under control when I bought a maternity pillow that was just a single long tube that ran the length of my whole body. I could hug it, tuck it in between my thighs and keep my whole top leg consistently at the same level. When I used multiple pillows one would shift during the night and throw everything out.
