OP, I have had this one for 6 years and it was great. I didn't use any guard, although it comes with them. I commented above that it just stopped working (battery) and when I went upstairs a minute ago to check the brand to recommend it here, I tried turning it on again and it's working.....weird, but also awesome haha.
