I just came back from NZ/Fiji with Omnipod & Dexcom! Honestly it’s pretty easy to use. Granted, I have been an Omnipod user for over a year now, so idk how getting used to the system would feel on vacation. Safety wise, I don’t think you have anything to worry about. My doctor’s tip was to bring at least one week’s worth of extra supplies as a “just in case,” which was helpful. Worst case, you could make sure you have syringes to use with your insulin if something drastic happens to the pods or you lose them. My tip is to keep ALL of your diabetic supplies (pods, sensors, back-up meter, emergency sugar, etc.) with you in your carry-on/personal item. You wouldn’t want to pack stuff in your checked item(s) just for it to get lost by the airline. Here are some items from Amazon I find helpful for the pod in daily life or on vacation: Jinyu-Sega over patches (helps keep the pod on during activity or for someone like me who rolls all over during sleep) Poddern Pod Cover (I ended up not needing it, but I mainly got it so that I could protect the pod from sunscreen; if you didn’t already know, sunscreen (especially aerosol kind) can rust out the inside of the pod if it gets in contact with the outside of the pod) Hiearcool Waterproof Phone Pouch (PDM or phone fit inside and then you can wear it while swimming or doing other water activities)
