Just get a 3 or 4 inch memory foam mattress topper. Twin size fits the usable width perfectly. Nothing to inflate... rolls up small enough to fit in the sub trunk. Done. I actually use a 2-inch high density (firm) version that I found on Amazon that came with a nice quilted zipper cover. I am about 200 lbs and under 6'... side and stomach sleeper. I don't feel the floor through the mattress topper. The slight tilt is surprisingly comfortable. It actually made me consider buying a bed frame that can be adjusted to elevate my head just slightly. LOL The other big advantage is that it leaves more head-room in the cabin. Many of the mattresses made for the Tesla that I tried are very thick and really squished me into the skylight. But the two that I liked most ... before I realized a simple mattress topper was better for me... were: TESBEAUTY - $180 - Most comfortable. Like a real bed. Even has a fitted sheet like a real bed. Nothing to inflate. Really nice design, and fits in the frunk with some practice. Not so thick that you are smushed into the roof. Aerogogo - $180 - Comfortable... but it’s an air mattress and not like a real bed. Inflates/deflates quickly and easily. Could literally store it in the glove box.. that is how small this thing is deflated. What I ultimately realized worked best for me? SINWEEK 2 Inch Mattress Topper Twin Size - $40 - almost like a real bed... stable... does not slide around or bounce like an inflatable mattress. Does not fill the wing shaped side areas... so there is still a place to put my shoes and stuff that is not literally on the mattress with me. It makes the cabin feel much larger and more comfortable to sit up in. More headroom. Easy to store in the sub-trunk or even easier just fold in half and leave in trunk with the seats up... could not be more simple... does not even take up that much room stored in the trunk like that. This way I can still use my sub-trunk for my other gear or supplies. It has been the best combo of comfort / portability / affordability / simplicity / durability / utility of everything I have tried. What I have not tried but looks amazing.... Snuuzu - $1000 - From what I read and see... this is probably the best Tesla mattress you can buy. But, it is crazy expensive. I would probably only get this if I was spending a lot of time sleeping in my Tesla, or just needed the absolute most comfortable sleeping experience.
