UL won't approve EVSE with selectable amp settings, so that's also Amazon Marketplace garbage with no accountability for safety (via no liability). Apparently ETL/Intertek will... This Amazon Marketplace EVSE is listed in the ETL database, as are a few others like it. I suspect EVSEs like this get approved because they have a connected NEMA 14-50 or 6-50 plug, so whatever amperage setting you select, you can't exceed the current the attached plug is capable of. As long as there's plausible deniability (e.g. "do not use unapproved adapters with this EVSE") I presume it's a loophole these products can slip through.
