I actually got this. https://a.co/d/084Srpvx It lets me adjust the rate at which my car charges. I only use level 1 as my car is in a shared lot without electrical access so I have to use a extension cord (yikes I know) and keep it at only 11 to 8 amps only. I base the rate at which it charges on what I'm planning on doing the next day, especially if I have work where they have lv 2 ev chargers I do 8 amp. Usually end up with enough to get to work from 0% but if not I bump it up to 11. If you fear that you might be doing damage to your homes electrical best to avoid stressing it and let your car charge at variable rates which from my experience has been doing no damage to the battery system, it understands the rate at which it's charging and displays accordingly. You can also set timers on the chargers app, so that if you do want to max it at 12 amp it will shut off after 3 hours or so, then you via the app just bump it down to a more safe level, though just practice charging overnight at low which is the main benefit to plugins in my mind.

That plug will accept a NEMA 6-20 plug to charge at 240v and 16a. There are multiple chargers that will plug into that or a normal 120v outlet. I have one in my car as the portable charger. This is an example but I have no idea what the quality is: https://a.co/d/00GcAiEo
