Dumb idea of previous occupants to put a blind on a door. What you need is a 'sidelight curtain'. They are hung on two small round rods....one at the top and one at the bottom. They come in sheers, different colors, light blocking, whatever type you would like. You measure length about 1 - 2 inches above glass frame and the same at the bottom glass frame. Then width wise, you would want them to be about 2 times as wide as window so they'll gather nicely. Read any instructions on how to measure them as some companies show width as exact measurement, and some take into account the extra needed for gathering. Amazon and Wayfair, have lots of these. If you can't find exact length measured as I said above, it is OK to have them a little longer. Just make sure the rod is the same distance from the top of the frame as the rod is from the bottom frame.
