As a 43yo on the journey as well, I finally found some legit insoles for my flat feet that supported my 6'1 260 lb frame. I put them in everything. I also deal with plantar fasciitis, and it has helped with that. https://a.co/d/0ihv68TA. Amazon has a pair for $21 right now. Totally worth it for me. Also you can do some stretches to help with general pain that flat feet cause. Google PT stretches for plantar fasciitis. Only equipment they ever really need is a towel to stretch your foot (if you don't have along enough belt or band). I've been where you are at, and every day is a battle and a bad thought about regression and wondering if you should give up. I've been trying here and there for over 25 years. My biggest was 340lb, and Monday I weighed in at 220, and I'm hoping to get to 200 at the end of the year. Stay positive.
