When you say record Audio, is this just speech? Or does it include music and sound effects? If you are recording only speech, you can get an acceptable used voice recorder (e.g. some Philips or Olympus models) for under $50. If you record at a low enough bitrate, you can get 6 or 7 hours in a single file. You want a mic with an omnidirectional pickup pattern. Of course this will pick up any other sound in the room, too ... that's how physics works. Most convenient would be an omnidirectional "boundary" mic which is pretty flat to the table. I've just been looking on Amazon, and, surprisingly, most of the less expensive ones now have USB connectors, which will not work with a portable recorder. I did find this one https://www.amazon.com/Dreokee-Conference-Microphone-3-5mm-Desktop/dp/B086WHD3CX/ref=sr_1_55 but of course at this price you can't expect broadcast quality. Even so, it may be completely clear and intelligible. Here's another similar mic https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FBLHR88W/ref=sspa_dk_detail_4 I also found this one https://www.amazon.com/SoundTech-CM-1000-Omni-directional-Conference-Microphone/dp/B004E1VIPC which costs a bit more, and claims to have noise reduction. However, I have found that built-in noise reduction is a mixed blessing, because it sometimes removes weaker voices as well as noise. Not sure that I'd recommend this one without trying it first. If you want a list of appropriate voice recorders, let me know and I'll send a list of some that would work for your situation.
