I don't do this because I've seen a couple times where it ends up just ripping the can while torquing the screwdriver and then leaving the base still threaded on lol. Then you have to try and take a chisel or something to persuade the base off. Ends up making a 30 second job into a whole ordeal. Now I use this universal oil filter tool with friction coated prongs.
