Oh ok yes I got you. The "primary blue" in this set in person is like not quite primary blue. Idk how to describe it but it's weird. This is my first time with these particular paints and I'm noticing that I might need to supplement with a few primary colors that don't belong to this set lol. Idk if it's just the quality of the brand or the color mix but since it's my first time starting from a acrylic and oil, I didn't splurge. this is the set I'm using
Ok I think that is my problem. My red is wrong. You're right it's just coming out muddy no matter what I do. The closest I got was by mixing both blues and added a touch of white but it was still a very dark plum in the end. This is my first time working with something other than acrylic or oil so I just bought a small box. here is the link
