Depends partly on whether you're mostly in permissive or nonpermissive environments. Even assuming you are otherwise legally permitted to carry concealed, are you at risk of violating work policy/losing your job or getting banned from certain locations you need to access if you are found to have a gun? Assuming your environment is nonpermissive, pocket carrying a snubbie is about as discreet and secure as I think carry can get if you are in a position where you are constantly bending and twisting at the waist. I'd rec an LCR over a J frame for weight/shootability/build quality but that's really up to your preference. Some people will recommend belly band-type holsters in this scenario but I think you're still going to run into issues with the gun either printing pretty obviously or digging into your body, or both, if you are doing a bunch of bending and twisting at the waist. I also find the belt-style holsters will tend to bury the gun under your clothing in a way that makes it slower and harder to access than traditional IWB/OWB carry or pocket carry. A pocket .380 like the BG2.0 or LCP Max will carry more ammo and be even a tiny bit more compact than a snubbie but in my experience they print like crazy in the pocket, regardless of what pocket-style holster you use. It just looks unavoidably like you've got a gun in your pocket, unless you are wearing baggy pants in a stiff material. Even in more fitted pants, a revolver has a more organic overall shape to it and ends up looking like generic "stuff" in your pocket. I'd still recommend a pocket holster (I prefer Aholster) to shield the trigger and to keep the gun oriented the way you want it in your pocket. I don't pocket carry often but I do sometimes, especially in summer when I'm out and about and active in something like a t-shirt and athletic shorts. If I'm going to be in a more permissive environment/less worried about printing, I'll pocket carry my LCP Max or BG2.0, because I do find semi-autos more shootable overall and prefer the added capacity. If I'm in a nonpermissive environment/more concerned about printing, I'll carry my .38 Spl LCR with these Hogue grips. To me these are ideal for pocket carry: They are a hair smaller and lighter than the OEM ones, have no finger grooves to force your fingers into a position that might not be optimal for your hand size, and have a combination of harder rubber on the sides and softer/stickier rubber on the front and back, so the gun still sticks in your hands but the grips don't catch on the inside of clothing the way the all-over soft OEM grips do. They also have the Hogue "tamer" cushion at the back of the frame so, while not enjoyable to shoot, it's not going to beat up the web of your thumb like a J frame would. TL;DR: In your shoes, I would pocket carry your .32/.38/.357/whatever snubbie revolver of choice if restricted to primarily nonpermissive environments, or your micro .380/9mm of choice if in more permissive environments.
