If you're playing on PC and just checking it out then the T16 is very good. It's cheap and the buttons feel great. The problem is the USB can go bad with lots of plugging and unplugging it in, I have this model. I was able to avoid this issue completely by using one of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BMZZQVTS?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 If you do use that magnetic connector the RGB lighting will probably not work on your Haute42. I don't know why that is. On the other hand the Mayflash doesn't have this issue at all but it's more expensive.
They usually don't have enough pins to do TB, but will happily do 10gb USB3 https://www.amazon.com/Magnetic-Adapter-Straight-Connector-Thunderboard/dp/B0BMZZQVTS this one is rated for 40gb thunderbolt. It's not rocket science as long as the metal contacts are snug.
I have a Haute42 T16 and it's still kicking. What I did was attach a magnetic USB connector to it, never had a problem. Haute42 are like iMacs, there's very little to do to customize them and if you just need a leverless to play a fighting game they can be great. If you want to become a hobbyist and play with a broad range of buttons and switches and really like tinkering and dialing in the exact feeling of buttons you like then nothing beats an arcade button wired to a pcb set up. You can also maintain a setup like this forever. Like I said, I have a T16 the buttons feel great, the switches feel great and they punch WAAY above their belt because they are dirt cheap. I avoided any issue with the USB falling out by buying one of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BMZZQVTS?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title I'll admit that the quality of a Haute42 is not the same as the quality of a Mavercade but we get what we pay for, all in all I think Haute42 T16 is a great leverless especially for first time buyers.
Haute42s have a shitty USB port, if you're going to get one then bet on it going bad with frequent plugging and unplugging. If you invest in something like this you can avoid this problem completely: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BMZZQVTS I love Haute42, they were my first leverless, it's just the really shitty USB port that holds them back, but like I said you can avoid this problem completely. Prime Day starts on 8th of July this year, I bet you can get good deals on leverless from Amazon.
