I had one before that lasted 6 months.and 1 before that that lasted ~4 years.There are a few options but they all seem pretty crappy so it seems a bit hit or miss to get a decent one. A finger print reader lever knob has been useful enough that I've been willing to replace it multiple times.Even 4 years is an abysmal life span for a door knob though.Being 'smart' is generally useless so don't worry about that.
