Type of fat matters a lot. If you're eating raw nuts and avocado instead of roasted in oil nuts or any type of plant oil and other such things, that's a ton better, even with the increased quantity. But I'm still uneasy about that much fat. Your brain runs exclusively on carbs. Your muscles run on carbs and build with protein. Fat is only necessary to keep hormones etc in balance. Your muscle and brain isn't running on it. So if you're eating more fat, you're wasting more calories on fat that could have been better spent on more carbs or more protein for your brain and muscles. And it's sooo easy to gain weight when eating more fat vs eating more carbs or protein. The body sends dietary fat straight to the fat stores when there's extra calories. With carbs or protein, it has to process that into fat first before it can be stored and a lot gets burned up during that transfer process. The big thing is to stay away from trans fat, saturated fat, too many omega 6s. That's what clogs arteries. Omega 3s, unsaturated fats are healthy. Have you tried just supplementing with algae-based omega 3s? Maybe you're not good at converting ALA to EPA/DHA and that's why you feel the need for higher fat. https://www.amazon.com/Nordic-Naturals-Algae-Omega-Vegetarian/dp/B009KTUGSS?th=1
