The Edifier R1280T is a decent 'active/powered' speaker. At least it is real stereo and it has two analog line inputs: one for your turntable + phono pre-amp and one for either a laptop/computer or for example a Bluetooth receiver. There is also a version R1280DB which has the Bluetooth already built-in (next to the two analog inputs and also an optical in for e.g. a TV). That is more versatile. In that case you should get either a turntable with a built-in phono pre-amp (such as the Audio-Technica ATLP70x) or a 'vintage' turntable with a separate phono pre-amp such as a Fosi X5. This way you would have an 'analog', cabled, signal chain for the turntable while you can also switch to Bluetooth for music from your phone/laptop. For an older TV, without Bluetooth, the optical input can be handy.
