Not sure if you're thinking of doing BLW, but if so it's really important to have a foot plate at the right height for them to rest their feet so that they can have a stable sitting position. And even if not, it's just way more comfortable to be able to support your feet while you eat! I've always hated eating with my legs dangling lol. And for babies still developing their trunk control etc, that stability makes a big difference!
