Most PC monitors don't support high refresh rate via the HDMI port. You have to get an Active HDMI 2.1 to DisplayPort 1.4 cable or adapter. Watch out because a lot of these cables are unidirectional and meant to connect a DisplayPort source (i.e. a PC) to an HDMI display and you need the opposite.
