I have a husky/GSD and others mix. She has a thick coat and sheds all the time. Best results I have found, some of which I found myself, and a couple from a family member who is a groomer —- Groomer rec- Shampoo + conditioner. Not the cheap kind. My take - I use KetoHex or MiconaHex+Triz Shampoo for Dogs & Cats because my dog has flaky skin. The vet has said it’s allergies. I started this before diagnosed, she’s done well, so I keep on. The second seems to also condition pretty well, so I don’t use a separate conditioner. Groomer rec - Kong Zoom Groom. This does work well while bathing to get the shampoo in and loosen hair. I have to be gentle, though , because it can cause soreness if I use it too aggressively. :( Groomer rec - Pet Dryer. ABSOLUTE GAME CHANGER. I DEFINITELY use it outside, and it drys faster and blows SO much hair out. Keep it away from their face. The one I got is this one. I’ve had it a year and a half, and it’s still going strong.https://a.co/d/bqpDiAB Groomer / me rec - obviously the groomer recommended brushing. For my dog, the gloves with the little nubs work really well. Again, I have to make sure I’m gentle and not too aggressive. As long as I do that and ‘brush’ every 1-3 days, dependent on season, they are very affective. The pics on the products always show peeling the hair off to clean them. That doesn’t work for me. I have to use the hand held vacuum attachment to get everything off. Good luck! Kind of funny story — when we lost our black lab a few years ago, even after massive cleaning, we kept finding hair in our master bath. It was ME AND MY HUBBY. We had always placed the blame on her. To be fair, the rest of the house had been her. Haha!
