Oof. I hate these styles of binders. Mine was so trash it literally cut into my skin and left scars on my ribs. With your current binder, I'm not sure how you'll be able to avoid this without resorting to body tape or something. I don't know if you have the finances to get a different binder, but I always had success with the Underworks brand. I specifically used this one, but they make other styles too. They compress really well and leave room to breathe without cutting into you or having spillage. Wishing you well! <3
