Tuck your cables by the ignition wires then put the black controller wire last. I’ve Never crushed a wire since I’ve gotten the bike. You just can’t rush it. Spend a few extra seconds to get it right. The battery being scratched on the sides is a tough one. I still haven’t figured it out. Tried 2 different vinyl wraps hoping it would glide easier. NOPE. Fucked up my vinyl. I’ll be trying a few other things this coming weekend. I’ll keep you posted if I find anything for the scratches on the battery. A tip I recommend is get some wire harness tape, and individually tape the black cable, then the red cable. Then do the other one. It’s a pain in the ass but it adds a layer of protection. This one works pretty well. You can also use it for a few other cables that are thinner. Heat shrink would be best, but it’s impossible to get it over the orange connectors.
