Is this the set of walkie talkies you have? https://www.cobra.com/products/rx380 https://www.walmart.com/ip/Cobra-RX385-Two-Way-Radios-Pair-Rugged-Water-Resistant-Walkie-Talkies-32-mile-Extended-Range-40-Channels-NOAA-Weather-Chanels-Weather-Alerts/814316130 Just a couple of things to think about: Do not expect the advertised range. Small low powered hand held radios will only achieve those ranges under the very, very best of conditions. You could easily get far enough apart to lose contact. Plan on specific meet-up points each day just in case communication is lost. Range with a radio improves with elevation above the ground and above the metal of the vehicle. The radio held up at windshield height will give the best results. A magnet mount antenna on the roof would be a huge help but these radios do not appear to accept an externally connected antenna. The owner's manual appears to say to only use the provided charger and the provided rechargeable batteries. A "Y" USB cable is provided to charge both at the same time. This could be a problem if you do much talking and will not be stopping where you can plug them in overnight. Consider buying a spare set of AA size NiMH rechargeable batteries. They do not need to be the brand supplied by Cobra. For example two of these from Walmart: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Rayovac-Rechargeable-AA-Batteries-4-Pack-NiMH-Double-A-Batteries/14860663 Good luck!
