It's highly difficult to find a purifier that handles particulates (like <10 microns "dust" particles, mold, pollen, smoke particles) and gases/vapors/odors/VOCs. You need many pounds of activated carbon or other sorbent media for gases/vapors/odors/VOCs. Most common and cheaper brands have very little sorbent media by weight. Additionally, purifiers aren't good at reducing visible dust particles as they're large and heavy compared to "invisible" pollutants like PM2.5. Visible dust is best tackled by source control, maintenance, and ventilation. Generally Coway is one of the best quality consumer-grade brands for particulates. No mention of a budget, so I don't know how much you'd like to spend. The Coway Airmega 400 in White is deeply discounted right now. (Full price is $649.) It's oversized for a 144 sq. ft. room, but this allows you to use lower & quieter airflow speeds with good air cleaning. The 400's replacement filter set are more expensive because of dual air intakes and because it's Coway. A cheaper option would be the Levoit Vital 200S-P which is still oversized in terms of Clean Air Delivery Rates (CADRs). Quality isn't as good as the Coway Airmega 400 in all likelihood; Levoit has a 2 year warranty. The replacement filter is more affordable. There's also the Winix C909 sold at Costco which is excellent value for a HEPA purifier and its CADRs.* *Has PlasmaWave, an optional bipolar ionizer. Keep this off if you have pet birds as it could harm or kill them. (NB: PlasmaWave defaults to being enabled after a power off/power on cycle.)
