I second the Adapter as long as you remember that you need a 12V and 5V set of power signals on the 4 PIN molex, that adapter specifies it doesn't have a power supply and it only has a DC12V input, I've had some of the older drives that don't like to spin up from that 4 wire adapter that is supplied with the USB to IDE/SATA Adapter. I don't know if you already have a computer and might be able to slide off the side panel and run an extension from a spare molex connector, or have a spare power supply. [I personally hot-wire an old ATX Power Supply because I typically need to power something more than a single drive typically. The extension I was referring to if you don't need an additional adapter [Most modern PCs don't use Molex or Molex Jr (3.5" Diskette Drive) a 24 inch extension is linked below with 12V/5V Molex Power Supply:24" Extender Cable: https://a.co/d/00rFzqGWPower Supply: https://a.co/d/0exlhuch If you want to try using the adapter and adding a 12V DC Power Adapter I would recommend at least a 12V 3A just for spin ups on older drives, tired capacitors and dried spindle lubricant can ramp up a single drive into the 2.5A Range or higher, 3A supports 2 Modern Drives Spinning up at the same time in all the docks I use, but my IDE Flatbed Dock came with a 12V 3A power supply standard.
