I have a Hologram SIM (https://www.hologram.io/) on mine and spend about 2 dollars a month for data service. Unit can use an app stock (not a huge fan), or be pushed to Traccar. I host my own Traccar server, but there's a public one. Can wire up the relay to a fuel pump to cut fuel remotely as well. Super cheap, piece of mind, and (live) location tracking.
